Six trends shaping the luxury kitchens we're designing for 2026. None of them are loud. All of them are doing real work.
1. Warm minimalism
Rift oak, limewashed plaster, travertine, unlacquered brass. The minimalist grammar stays; the temperature rises.
2. Hidden pantries and sculleries
The visible kitchen becomes editorial. The pantry handles the appliances, the storage, and the mess.
3. Oversized stone slabs
Bookmatched marble or quartzite running floor-to-ceiling, with no breaks. One material doing the work of three.
4. Integrated linear lighting
Recessed LED strips under upper cabinets, inside tall units, and along ceiling perimeters. Sources you never see.
5. Organic textures
Fluted wood, hand-troweled plaster, leather drawer pulls, raw linen drapery. Tactility as luxury.
6. Statement islands
The island as a sculptural object — single material, mitered edges, sometimes a different stone from the perimeter.

Warm minimalism — the shift from pure white European minimalism to warmer woods, plasters, and natural stones, with the same disciplined material restraint.
